lol my boss wanted me to come in early. I stayed 4 hours over last night because you scheduled shit and I’m extra today. You even said you didn’t want me to work 8 hours, you offered it so you didn’t sound like a dick if you said 6. And you’ll change the schedule when you work to have more help, but leave the rest of us fucked every other day? Nah. I think I’ll sleep in.
Second of all (and most surprising), the movie was awesome. So good. I was so impressed I couldn’t stand it. I never like movie adaptations. Ever. And I loved it. I approved of/agreed with every change in the plot. It had potential to be confusing if you hadn’t read it, but other than that it was a wonderful movie and an even better adaptation. I just ahhhhh. I haven’t ever loved a book to a movie so much.
“It is impossible to live without failing at something. Unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all - in which case, you fail by default.”—J.K. Rowling (submitted by lostinthisdisguise)
“Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.”—Louise Erdrich, The Painted Drum (via ventriloquistic)
